David Ogle is administrator for the Fredericksburg District of the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT).
 
The Fredericksburg District is a 14-county area from Stafford and Spotsylvania on the western end to Mathews and Gloucester on the eastern end.

He has worked with local and state government throughout his career to address maintenance needs and transportation improvements, ranging from simple intersection reconstruction to complex interstate projects in urban areas.

Education

A graduate of Virginia Tech with a B. S. in civil engineering; Ogle completed the AASHTO Management Institute Course at Indiana University.

During his 30+ years with VDOT, he served as the assistant resident engineer in Warsaw, resident engineer in Fairfax and Manassas, and district construction engineer in the Culpeper and Northern Virginia districts before assuming his current position.
