Be alert to scattered slick slick spots this morning in southwestern Virginia (Wednesday, January 10, 2007 - 4 a.m.)

BRISTOL, Va. – The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) reports motorists in southwestern Virginia may encounter some scattered snow and ice patches during their morning commute:

- Interstates 81 and 77 are clear but wet.

- Scattered icy spots are reported on the majority of primary highways in southwestern Virginia.

- The majority of secondary routes in the Coeburn area of Wise County; the Dryden area of Lee County; the Blackford area of Russell County; and the majority of secondary routes in Wythe, Buchanan, Smyth and Grayson counties remain snow-covered and slick.
