NIGHTIMTE ROAD WORK CONTINUES ON SOUTHBOUND RT. 29 IN ALBEMARLE COUNTY

Construction crews working on Hollymead Town Center off Rt. 29 will once again close one lane of Rt. 29 southbound in front of the construction site on Thursday, September 29, and Monday-Thursday October 4 - 7 between the hours of 9 p.m. and 5 a.m.
The crews are constructing the new entrance and intersection for the new shopping center. When work was done during the daylight hours, traffic was backed up significantly. Due to the weather, crews were unable to complete their work last week.
Construction officials said they may also need another lane closure the week of October 11 as well, but that will also occur during the night.
