MANY ROADS REMAIN CLOSED IN KING WILLIAM COUNTY
FREDERICKSBURG – Route 30 between Rt. 360 and Rt. 301 in King William County has been reopened, however, nearly a dozen secondary roads remain closed from the severe damage sustained during the heavy rains and flooding spawned by remnants of Hurricane Gaston on Monday, August 30. At this time, VDOT is working to hire contractors to repair the damage roads. It cannot be determined at this time when these repairs will be completed and the roads reopened.
Estimated storm damage in the Fredericksburg District is approximately $2 million.

King William County
Route 601– between Rt. 30 and the Caroline County line - washout
Route 602 – between Rt. 604 and Rt. 360 – washout
Route 604 – between Rt. 609 and Rt. 652 - washhout
Route 605 – between Rt. 360 and Rt. 604 – washout
Route 606 – between Rt. 608 and Rt. 1216 – washout
Route 607 – between Rt. 608 and Rt. 643 - washout
Route 608 – between Rt. 610 and Rt. 30 – washout
Route 610 – between Rt. 608 and Rt. 609 – washout (dam failure)
Route 614 – between Rt. 604 and Rt. 615 – washout (one lane open)
Route 618 - between Rt. 661 and Rt. 654 - washout
