Route 30 to remain closed through the Holiday weekend
ROUTE 30 TO REMAIN CLOSEDTHROUGH THE HOLIDAY WEEKEND
FREDERICKSBURG – Route 30 between Rt. 360 and Rt. 301 in King William County will remain closed through the holiday weekend. Crews have been working to repair the damaged section of Route 30 since Monday’s storm. It was anticipated that the road would be reopened today, however, the damage was more extensive than the original assessment. Local traffic should use the most convenient alternate route. Trucks and through traffic should use Route 360 to I-295 at Richmond to Route 301.
Estimated storm damage in the Fredericksburg District is approximately $2 million and many roads remain closed. Additional crews and equipment from other areas in the 14-county Fredericksburg District have been sent to the King William area to assist in storm repairs.
