Hazmat Accident in Stafford County shuts down Route 1 in both directions (I-95 motorists that normally use Exit 140 should use Exit 136)

A tractor trailer accident on Route 1 at American Legion Road has shut down Route 1 in both directions in Stafford County. Emergency response teams are onsite and working to determine if the contents of the truck are hazardous. I-95 motorists that normally use Exit 140 should use Exit 136. No estimated time of reopening has been determined at this time.
