I-95 SOUTH NEAR FREDERICKSBURG CLOSED DUE TO TRACTOR TRAILER CRASH All Traffic Detoured at Ladysmith Exit
All Traffic Detoured at Ladysmith Exit

All southbound lanes of Interstate 95 remain closed after an early morning crash just south of Exit 110 (Route 639/Ladysmith) in Caroline County.

At approximately 5 a.m., two southbound tractor trailers crashed and caught fire at mile marker 107, which is between Exit 110 (Route 639/Ladysmith) and Exit 104 (Route 207/Carmel Church) in Caroline County.

One tractor-trailer carrying carpet padding continues to burn and is blocking the right and center lanes of the interstate.

Traffic is being detoured to Route 1 South at Exit 110 (Route 639/Ladysmith).

At this time, there is approximately a two mile backup on I-95 South.

Traffic signal technicians have adjusted the signal timings along the Route 1 corridor. It has not been determined when the interstate will reopen.
