Night time lane closures set for Route 610 in Stafford County

FREDERICKSBURG— VDOT has scheduled overnight work for the next two weeks on Route 610 that will impact traffic between Staffordborough Blvd. and Onville Road. During the nighttime hours motorists on Route 610 will be restricted to one lane in each direction and the side streets within the work zone will be closed. This will allow crews to continue work on the water and sewer lines and storm drains on Route 610. Lane closures and detours will be in effect nightly beginning March 19 through March 31, weather permitting. All lanes will be open to traffic by 4:30 a.m., Monday through Friday in an effort to avoid delays to early morning commuters and no lane closures will be in effect after 9 a.m., Saturday through Sunday.

Monday – Thursday
8 p.m. – 9 p.m. – westbound right lane and eastbound left lane will be closed
9 p.m. – 4:30 a.m. – all traffic will be shifted to the eastbound side of Rt. 610 with one lane open in each direction

Friday
8 p.m. – 9 p.m. – westbound right lane and eastbound left lane will be closed
9 p.m. – 8 a.m. – all traffic will be shifted to the eastbound side of Rt. 610 with one lane open in each direction

The following side streets will be closed each night. Traffic will use Onville Road as a detour.
Monday – Thursday
9 p.m. – 4:30 a.m.; Friday, 9 p.m. – 8 a.m.
