Route 1 North in Stafford County closed due to high water
Several Secondary Routes closed in Stafford and Spotsylvania

FREDERICKSBURG – Heavy rains have caused The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) to close some area roads due to high water including a portion of Route 1 north at Route 610 in Stafford County.
Other area roads closed due to high water:

Stafford County

  • Route 1 North - just north of Rt. 17. Trees down; crews on the scene
  • Harrell Road
  • River Road
  • Naomi Road
  • Shelton Shop Road – at Courthouse Road
  • Shelton Shop Road – between Wintergreen Lane and Mountain View Road
  • Kellogg Mill Road
  • Holly Corner Road

Spotsylvania County

  • Benchmark Road – between Mine Road and Route 17
  • Mill Pond Road
