3:30 PM UPDATE - ALL I-64 EASTBOUND LANES OPEN TO TRAFFIC
Final I-64 eastbound lanes opened at 3:25 p.m.

NORFOLK - The Virginia Department of Transportation Department (VDOT) reopened all I-64 regular eastbound lanes to traffic at 3:25 p.m. Wednesday afternoon. All I-64 interstate lanes are now clear to traffic. The I-64 HOV Reversible Roadway will also remain open to eastbound traffic throughout the day with no travel restrictions.

The lanes were closed earlier this morning after a dump trailer hit a sign structure and knocked it to the ground at approximately 8:40 a.m. The dumping portion of the truck was slightly raised and struck the overhead portion of the 120-foot-long sign structure.
