VDOT OPENS ROUTE 17 FROM CHESAPEAKE TO NORTH CAROLINA

CHESAPEAKE - The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) officially opened Route 17 this morning from Chesapeake to the North Carolina line. All four north and southbound lanes are open. Motorists are advised to use caution as lanes are reduced to two-way traffic where the highway ties in to Route 17 in North Carolina and Dominion Boulevard in Virginia.
