VIRGINIA BEACH —The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) reminds Hampton Roads that it is important for every family to have a hurricane plan should a severe storm approach the region this season.
VDOT invites residents to log on today, Wednesday, Sept. 20, 2006, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. to receive expert advice and useful help putting their family plan together.

- WHERE: To join the forum, log on to www.VirginiaDOT.org, click on the “ONLINE FORUM” link and have your hurricane preparedness questions ready.
- WHY: Residents need to remain prepared throughout the hurricane season, which runs through Nov. 1 in Hampton Roads.
