VDOT OPENS NEW ROAD ON BATTLEFIELD BOULEVARD PROJECT New Road Will Allow Contractors to Construct Ramps and Loops of Interchange

Chesapeake – The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) and contractor E.V. Williams have opened DeBaun Avenue connecting traffic from North Battlefield Boulevard to Lindale Drive in Chesapeake. “The relocation of DeBaun Avenue will enable contractors to build the new ramps and loops associated with the interchange” said Michael Johnson, VDOT’s Project Manager for the I-64 Battlefield Boulevard Project. The repositioning of DeBaun Avenue marks the completion of another phase of the I-64 Battlefield Boulevard Project.

This work is part of the I-64 Battlefield Boulevard construction project on schedule to be completed in July 2009.
