I-64 WEST NOW OPENED TO TRAFFIC
Road closed at 2 p.m. due to an earlier crash

JAMES CITY COUNTY- The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) has released traffic traveling on Interstate 64 West. A tractor trailer crash near the Busch Gardens exit (mile marker 240) occurred at 11:40 a.m. this morning, Wednesday, February 13, forcing crews to close the interstate completely from 2 p.m. until 4:10 p.m. This allowed crews to remove the tractor trailer from the median area.

Traffic is still heavy in this area and motorists are advised to seek alternate routes when possible.
