LOCAL HIGHWAY CONTRACT AWARDED

A highway construction contract for replacement of the bridge over David Creek on Route 60 in Appomattox County was awarded by the Commonwealth Transportation Board recently.

Key Construction Company, Incorporated of Clarksville, VA received the approximately $2 million contract to build the new structure on new alignment. Two-way traffic will be maintained during construction which should be complete by July 1, 2007.
