Temporary signals to be installed on U.S. 501 near Gladys
Motorists should expect delays during bridge project
Motorists should expect some delays during bridge work on U. S. 501 over Suck Creek in the coming months.
Burleigh Construction was recently awarded a contract for replacement of the structure located just south of the community of Gladys in Campbell County. The work will require the closure of one lane of U.S. 501 at a time and temporary traffic signals will be used to assist motorists through the work zone.
The signals will be erected soon and will be set to flash mode to alert motorists to their presence. Once crews are mobilized, the signals will be set to operate in a normal manner.
The estimated completion date of the entire project is November 15, 2008.
