Constantine Avenue at Hooes Road in Springfield Permanently Closing
At the request of Fairfax County, the Virginia Department of Transportation begins work on Aug. 18 to eliminate cut-thru traffic on Constantine Avenue in Springfield.
Constantine Avenue will become a cul-de-sac and motorists will no longer be able to access the Fairfax County Parkway and Backlick Road via Constantine Avenue.
Message boards have been posted to alert motorists of the upcoming closure.
VDOT crews will complete the project in October at a cost of $150.000.
