Traffic Advisory: Expect Delays on Route 123 in Fairfax County Fri.-Sun.
Motorists who use Route 123 between Lee Chapel Road and North Davis Drive in Fairfax County can expect delays this Friday, Saturday and Sunday, April 23-25 while crews finish paving new travel lanes. The newly widened 2.5 miles will open to traffic in early May.
During the paving operation, motorists will continue to have one lane in each direction, but lanes will be slightly narrowed. Crews will be paving from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. each day.
Route 123 is being widened from two lanes to a four-lane divided highway for eight miles between Burke Lake Road and the Occoquan River.

Phase 2: Lee Chapel Road to North Davis Drive (2.5 miles) Opens May 2004

Phase 4: Bridge over Occoquan River (0.6 miles) Opens 2006
