All Lanes Open on Beltway; Several intersections closed due to flooding
Chantilly – As of 10:10 a.m., all lanes were open on the Capital Beltway following the overnight mud slide at the Telegraph Road interchange. The ramps from Eisenhower Avenue to the Capital Beltway are closed due to the same mud slide and will remain closed indefinitely, according to the Virginia Department of Transportation.Several intersections are closed in Northern Virginia due to flooding. VDOT crews are working 12-hour shifts in Fairfax, Prince William and Loudoun Counties to remove debris, pump water from low lying roads, and make emergency asphalt repairs. VDOT is using equipment such as vactors, sweepers, backhoes and bucket trucks to clear roads.
