Traffic Advisory: I-66 at Gainesville to Shut Down for 15 minutes on August 23 and 24 Periodic 15 minute lane closures on eastbound I-66 at EXIT 43 between 10 p.m. to 4 a.m.

What/
Where: VDOT will stop traffic on the eastbound lanes of I-66 East at mile post
marker 43.5 just past EXIT 43/Route 29/Gainesville as crews install a drainage system for the new University Boulevard bridge over I-66.

When: Wednesday, August 23 for 15 minutes at a time, between 10 p.m. and 4 a.m.
Thursday, August 24 for 15 minutes at a time, between 10 p.m. and
4 a.m.

Why: For the safety of construction workers and motorists, traffic must be completely stopped. Virginia State Police, Prince William County Police and VDOT Safety Service Patrol will provide traffic control.
