ROAD CONDITION UPDATE

Richmond—The Virginia Department of Transportation continues to encourage motorists to use caution when traveling around the Richmond area on Wednesday as many roads remain covered with water and road damage may not be known at this time. VDOT crews have mobilized and are assessing road damage as water recedes from roadways.

The following list is the best estimate of road closures as of 5 p.m. Additional changes to this list are expected. We will update lane closures again tomorrow morning. Since our last update, all state maintained roadways in Mecklenburg and Prince George are reported open.

High Profile

The following closures are listed:

· Route 5 at Bickerstaff Road in Fulton Bottom
· I-95-The ramp to Franklin Street (Exit 74 B) is closed.
· Route 301 Hanover-The road is closed at the Kersey Creek Bridge due to a bridge washout. Through traffic is prohibited between I-295 and Route 54.
· I-295 Hanover-The ramp to Creighton Road is closed.
· Route 60 New Kent/Henrico—eastbound at Bottoms Bridge closed. Westbound is open.
· Huguenot Bridge is closed to northbound traffic. Southbound traffic may use the bridge.
· Route 30 closed at Route 301. Trucks prohibited.
