ROAD CONDITION UPDATE Sept. 3, 9 a.m.

RICHMOND—The Virginia Department of Transportation continues to encourage motorists to use caution when traveling around the Richmond area this Labor Day weekend as many roads remain covered with water and road damage may not be known at this time. VDOT crews continue to assess road damage as water recedes from roadways.

The following list is the best estimate of road closures as of 9 a.m.

High Profile
The following closures are listed:

· Route 5 at Bickerstaff Road in Fulton Bottom due to a bridge washout
· I-95-The ramp to Franklin Street (Exit 74 B) is closed.
· Route 301 Hanover-The road is closed at the Kersey Creek Bridge due to a bridge washout. Through traffic is prohibited between I-295 and Route 54. The detour is Route 643 to Route 656 to Route 657 and back to Route 301.
· Huguenot Bridge is closed to northbound traffic. Southbound traffic may use the bridge.
· Route 30 closed at Route 301. A detour is posted. Trucks are prohibited on the detour.

Lunenburg

Goochland

Cogbill Road at Treetop Apartments
Robert Bruce Drive between Tuscora and Greencok Drive
South Belmont Road to the dead end on the Chesterfield side
