TRANSPORTATION COMMISSIONER APPROVES A CENTRAL VIRGINIA CONTRACT VALUED AT $1.1 MILLION
COLONIAL HEIGHTS, Va. — Virginia Department of Transportation Commissioner David Ekern approved a contract this week valued at approximately $1.1 million for central Virginia construction and maintenance.
Haymes Bros, Inc. of Chatham, Virginia was awarded a contract to construct a new hard surface roadway and bridge on Love Town Road in Halifax and Mecklenburg County. The project will improve the horizontal and vertical sight distance and will eliminate flooding on the existing roadway and bridge. This project is expected to be completed by December 2007.
