TRAFFIC ALERT: VDOT UPDATES LIST OF ROADS CLOSED DUE TO FLOODING
Road clean-up and repair have continued throughout the day in southwestern Virginia. Several roads in Virginia Department of Transportation’s Salem District 12-county region remain closed due to flooding. The Salem District includes the counties of Bedford, Botetourt, Carroll, Craig, Floyd, Franklin, Giles, Henry, Montgomery, Patrick, Pulaski and Roanoke.
At 3:30 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 9., the following roads are closed due to flooding (last report of the day):
BOTETOURT COUNTY
Route 632 between Route 601 and dead end
CARROLL COUNTY
Route 772 between Route 749 and dead end
Route 822 from Route 58 to dead end
FRANKLIN COUNTY
Route 717 between Route 890 and Route 632
Route 876
GILES COUNTY
Route 622 (River Road) between Route 707 and Route 677 (Eggleston area)
Route 636 (Ripplemead Road) between Route 100 and end state maintenance
Route 649 (Luerich Road) between Narrows and Route 651
Route 692 (Big Block Road) between Route 100 and end state maintenance
Route 697 (Doc Carr Road) between Route 100 and end state maintenance
Route 749 (Patterson Road) between Route 811 and end state maintenance
PULASKI COUNTY
Route 643 (Little Mountain Road) in Little Creek section of Pulaski County
Route 653 (Delton Road) in Draper
