ROUTE 50 IN FREDERICK COUNTY IS REOPENING AT 4:30 PM

STAUNTON – All lanes on Route 50 in western Frederick County have reopened. The westbound lanes were closed at 7 p.m. on Friday, April 18 for railroad crossing work.

Crews were able to complete their work early and the road is opening around 4:30 p.m. today, Sunday, April 20.

The closure was due to railroad work being performed by the Winchester and Western Railroad in the Gore area.
