TRAFFIC SIGNAL TO BE OUT AT I-81 EXIT 307 RAMP

STAUNTON – Traffic signal work is continuing at the Interstate 81 exit 307 interchange in Frederick County. This work is located at the southbound exit ramp and eastbound Route 277. Beginning at 6 a.m. on Sunday, March 9 the contractor will be transferring signal operations from the old to the new signal pole device.

There will be no operating traffic signal at this intersection for approximately four hours. Law enforcement will be on-site to assist with traffic control.

This work is part of a larger project that will widen a small portion of Route 277 to improve flow for tractor trailers turning left from the I-81 southbound exit ramp on to eastbound Route 277.

All work is weather permitting.

Traffic alerts and traveler information can be obtained by dialing 511. In areas where 511 is unavailable, dial 1-800-578-4111. (TTY/TDD users, call 711). Traffic alerts and traveler information also are available at 511Virginia.org.
