TRAFFIC TO MOVE ON TO NEW OVERALL RUN BRIDGE
STAUNTON – The Virginia Department of Transportation will be moving traffic on to the newly build Overall Run Bridge during the week of March 10. This location is on Route 340 at Page/Warren County line.
Motorists should expect minor delays for a couple of days as crews put the new traffic pattern into place. These operations include moving barriers and road line painting. Variable electronic message signs will be placed northbound and southbound for traffic entering the work zone. The speed limit has been reduced to 45 mph.
Movement of the traffic to the new bridge completes Phase I of the Overall Bridge construction project. During Phase II the remaining portions of the new Route 340 roadway will be built along with reconstructing the Route 665 (Overall Road) intersection, which will include turn lanes. The completion date is scheduled for Oct. 31, 2008.
All work is weather permitting.
