Slick conditions still reported in Albemarle, Fluvanna, Louisa

CULPEPER — Crews with the Virginia Department of Transportation continue to address icy conditions on some roads in Albemarle, Fluvanna and Louisa counties.

Primary and secondary roads in Fluvanna and Louisa counties are in minor condition, mostly clear but with some icy patches. In Albemarle County, secondary routes are also in minor condition. Roads in all other counties of VDOT’s Culpeper District are reported clear.

Crews in the affected counties will work throughout the day and will monitor conditions overnight since temperatures are expected to remain below freezing.

Motorists should to continue to use caution, reducing speed and staying alert for slick conditions.

Road conditions are reported to still be hazardous in other parts of Virginia, especially in southwestern Virginia. Motorists should check VDOT’s 511 travel website,, before leaving on a trip.
