PUBLIC MEETING TO BE HELD ON ROUTE 606 PROJECTS IN SPOTSYLVANIA
Stop by on Thursday, Nov. 19 to learn about proposed changes to Mudd Tavern Road east of Interstate 95, and I-95 bridge replacement
FREDERICKSBURG – The public is invited to learn more about upcoming Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) road improvements along Mudd Tavern Road in Spotsylvania County at a meeting on Thursday, Nov. 19.
A design public hearing will be held on proposed improvements to Mudd Tavern Road east of I-95. This project would widen Mudd Tavern Road from two lanes to four lanes east of I-95. It would build a single roundabout on Mudd Tavern Road east of the interstate, and relocate Mallard Road's intersection with Mudd Tavern Road farther to the east.
At the same time, VDOT will hold a citizen information meeting on a project to replace the I-95 bridge on Mudd Tavern Road. VDOT is holding an information meeting to update the public on its status.
The design public hearing and citizen information meeting will be held together:
Thursday, Nov. 19
Riverview Elementary School
7001 N. Roxbury Mill Road
Spotsylvania, VA 22553
The meeting will be an open house format. Stop by anytime between 5-7 p.m. to review project maps and ask questions. Staff will be available to answer questions and address concerns.
Written or oral comments may be submitted at the design public hearing on the proposed improvements to Mudd Tavern Road east of I-95.
After the hearing, comments will be accepted through close of business on Monday, Nov. 30, 2015. Comments can be emailed to VDOT at Troy.Eisenberger@VDOT.Virginia.Gov with “Rt. 606 (Mudd Tavern Road) east of I-95” in the subject line.
Comments may be mailed to:
