EXPECT BRIEF OVERNIGHT TRAVEL DELAYS TUESDAY ON ROUTE 630 (COURTHOUSE ROAD) IN STAFFORD
Single lane closures planned for Courthouse Rd. for drainage pipe work on Tuesday Jan. 31

FREDERICKSBURG – Motorists may experience brief overnight travel delays on Route 630 (Courthouse Road) between Lynhaven Lane and Monument Avenue in Stafford County next week, as crews remove a temporary drainage pipe underneath the road

Traffic will be down to one lane on Courthouse Road near the Augustine subdivision for approximately a half-mile in both directions from 9 p.m Tuesday, Jan. 31 to 5:30 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 1. All travel lanes will be open by 5:30 a.m.

Crews will remove a temporary drainage pipe under Courthouse Road and replace with subbase stone and asphalt to match the existing pavement section. Crews will finish installing a larger, permanent pipe this week.

Work will continue alongside the roadway for approximately one more week, but will not require any additional lane closures.

Flaggers will direct drivers through the work zone.
