GARDENIA DRIVE IN SPOTSYLVANIA WILL REMAIN CLOSED THROUGH THE END OF JANUARY 2018
Drainage pipe replacement continues between Daisey Lane and Lily Lane

FREDERICKSBURG – Gardenia Drive in Spotsylvania County will remain closed through the end of January 2018, as crews continue a drainage pipe replacement project on Gardenia Drive between Daisey Lane and Lily Lane.

Due to unforeseen circumstances, the project schedule has been extended beyond the original completion date of late November 2017.

The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) closed Gardenia Drive in mid-October to begin work to remove deteriorated corrugated metal pipes from underneath the road and install new concrete pipes and endwalls.

Weather permitting, the road is now expected to reopen by the end of January 2018.

Access to driveways will continue to be maintained for residents who live on Gardenia Drive between Daisey Lane and Lily Lane.

Message boards will be posted this week to alert motorists to the new completion date.
