MERRY POINT FERRY AND SUNNY BANK FERRY OUT OF SERVICE SATURDAY
Ferry service will be suspended on Saturday, Jan. 7 due to forecasted snow; Service will resume next week on regular schedule

FREDERICKSBURG – The Merry Point Ferry in Lancaster County and the Sunny Bank Ferry in Northumberland County will not operate on Saturday, Jan. 7, due to a winter storm forecast to the affect the Northern Neck region.

Service on both ferries will continue tonight for the normal hours of operation.

Next week, the Sunny Bank Ferry will resume service on Monday, Jan. 9 at 8 a.m. The Sunny Bank Ferry does not operate on Sundays. The Sunny Bank Ferry is located on Route 644 in Northumberland County and crosses the Little Wicomico River.

Merry Point Ferry service will resume on Tuesday, Jan. 10 at 7 a.m. The Merry Point Ferry does not operate on Sundays or Mondays. The Merry Point Ferry is located on Route 604 in Lancaster and crosses the western end of the Corrotoman River.
