NEW TURN RESTRICTIONS AT POTOMAC DRIVE AND BENNION ROAD IN KING GEORGE COUNTY BEGIN MONDAY, DEC. 18

FREDERICKSBURG – New turn restrictions will be effective next week at the intersection of Potomac Drive and Bennion Road near the Gate B entrance to Naval Support Activity South Potomac at Dahlgren in King George County.

Starting Monday, Dec. 18, Potomac Drive traffic will not be permitted to turn right onto Bennion Road between 6-9 a.m. on Mondays-Fridays.

Drivers seeking to enter Gate B at Dahlgren between 6-9 a.m. on weekdays should use Route 301 to reach Bennion Road. A construction project this summer lengthened the right turn lane on Route 301 northbound to add more storage space for vehicles turning right onto Bennion Road.

An online map shows how Potomac Drive traffic can use Commerce Drive and Route 301 northbound to access Bennion Road and Gate B.

Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) crews will post signs at the Potomac Drive and Bennion Road intersection after 9 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 15.
