WESTMORELAND AREA ROADS AFFECTED BY STORM DEBRIS
Multiple VDOT crews working to remove downed trees and limbs; Route 205 (Ridge Road) is closed at Ninth Street in Colonial Beach

FREDERICKSBURG – Multiple Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) crews are working tonight in Westmoreland County to re-open roads and remove downed trees and tree limbs following severe weather Friday evening.

Route 205 (Ridge Road) is closed near Ninth Street. Motorists are encouraged to avoid travel if possible near Colonial Beach.

Residents can report blocked roads, downed trees and other road hazards to VDOT’s Customer Service Center 24 hours a day at 1-800-FOR-ROAD (800-367-7623).
