FREDERICKSBURG DISTRICT: ROADS ARE CLEAR, BUT DRIVERS SHOULD WATCH FOR POTENTIAL CHANGE IN CONDITIONS
VDOT crews are monitoring weather and patrolling roads with potential for light snow showers this morning; Real-time road conditions are available on 511Virginia

FREDERICKSBURG ⸺ Roads are clear in the Fredericksburg area, Northern Neck and Middle Peninsula this morning, but Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) crews are monitoring weather conditions and patrolling roads in the event light snow showers cause a quick change in road conditions over the next several hours.

Drivers will find clear, wet pavement at this time on Interstate 95, primary roads and secondary roads. Crews are applying sand to isolated areas on roads that are most likely to have slick surfaces due to colder surface temperatures, such as bridges, overpasses and ramps.

Drivers are encouraged to continue monitoring news and weather reports this morning and to check 511Virginia for real-time road conditions before starting a trip.
