Drainage pipe replacement project is complete between Daisey Lane and Lily Lane

FREDERICKSBURG – Gardenia Drive in Spotsylvania County has reopened to traffic after a drainage pipe replacement project between Daisey Lane and Lily Lane.

The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) closed Gardenia Drive in mid-October to remove deteriorated corrugated metal pipes from underneath the road and install new concrete pipes and endwalls.

Closeout work along the shoulders and pipe ends will continue next week with daytime, single lane closures.

Access to driveways will be maintained for residents who live in this section of Gardenia Drive.

Motorists should anticipate one-way, alternating traffic on Gardenia Drive beginning Monday, Feb. 12 through Friday, Feb. 16.

Flaggers will direct drivers through the work zone from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Expect brief delays.
