VDOT TO HOST LOCATION PUBLIC HEARING FOR I-64/HIGH RISE BRIDGE CORRIDOR STUDY
Public invited to learn more about environmental study
SUFFOLK – The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) will hold a location public hearing on Thursday, November 6, 2014, to present the results of the environmental study that analyzes improvements to the Interstate 64 corridor between the I-64/I-464 interchange and the I-64/I-264 interchange at Bowers Hill.
WHEN: Thursday, November 6, 2014, 4:30 – 7:30 p.m.
WHERE: Tidewater Community College, Building A

NOTE: In the event of inclement weather, the public hearing will be held on Thursday, November 13, 2014.
The purpose of the meeting is to give citizens an opportunity to review the Draft Environmental Assessment (EA), which analyzes the potential environmental impacts associated with the proposed corridor improvements. VDOT representatives will be present to discuss the study and answer any questions. This will be an open-house format meeting with no formal presentation. Local media are invited to attend.
If you want to review the alternatives under study before the hearing, a copy of the Draft EA is available online at www.64highrise.org. There is also a list of locations where you can view a printed copy.
