Temporary traffic control in place during Route 29 bridge over Banister River repairs
Motorists urged to be alert

LYNCHBURG – Burleigh Construction Company, Inc., under contract to the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) will begin work on the US 29 bridge over Banister River that will require temporary traffic control and may result in delays for motorists.

On Tuesday, April 18, weather permitting crews will begin work on the bridge deck. Repairs will be made to each lane and are expected to take approximately three weeks.

One lane of the structure will be open to traffic at all times.
