WILL MORE WINTER WEATHER HIT YOUR WEEKEND TRAVEL?
Motorists urged to avoid travel in icy conditions

LYNCHBURG – Snow and extreme cold have given way to sunshine and temperatures in the 60’s but tomorrow is another day and the Lynchburg District of the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) is urging motorists to keep an eye on the forecast for more winter weather and to avoid travel if icy conditions occur.

Crews in the ten-county district will be monitoring conditions and responding as necessary. Additional assistance will respond if needed.

The Lynchburg District includes the counties of Amherst, Appomattox, Buckingham, Campbell, Charlotte, Cumberland, Halifax, Nelson, Pittsylvania and Prince Edward.
