WIDENED SECTION OF LEE ROAD NOW OPEN
Expanding from two to four lanes eliminates choke point
CHANTILLY – The 0.2-mile section of Lee Road between Albemarle Point Place and Penrose Place opened to four lanes today.
Widening the road from two to four lanes relieves congestion by eliminating a choke point. The box culvert over Schneider Branch was also extended as part of the $3.3 million project, which is coming in under budget and three months ahead of schedule. Overall project completion is scheduled for early February 2015. The contractor is Martin & Gass, Inc.
