Route 7 Traffic Shifts at Dulles Toll Road June 26-27
Shifts will allow for remaining portions of original bridge to be demolished

TYSONS – Traffic shifts along Route 7 at the Dulles Toll Road will occur Monday night, June 26 and Tuesday night, June 27 as part of the interchange reconstruction project, according to the Virginia Department of Transportation.

The shifts will occur each night between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. as follows:

  • Monday, June 26: Westbound Route 7 traffic across the bridge will be shifting slightly to the right. Also, the entire loop ramp from westbound Route 7 to westbound Dulles Toll Road will reopen to traffic; the temporary ramp (opposite Jarrett Valley Drive) from westbound Route 7 to westbound Dulles Toll Road will close
  • Tuesday, June 27: Eastbound Route 7 traffic will shift left onto the new bridge and then shift to the right after the bridge.

Drivers should expect delays and are advised to use alternate routes. All work is weather permitting.

The shifts will allow the remaining sections of the original bridge to be demolished. The Route 7 over Dulles Toll Road project is scheduled for completion in spring 2018.
