Fairfax Co. Parkway Nighttime Closures Rescheduled
Full closures up to 20 minutes for overhead sign installation


FAIRFAX – Due to inclement weather, lane closures along southbound Fairfax County Parkway (Route 286) between Route 29 and Braddock Road (Route 620) that had been planned tonight are now scheduled to occur, weather permitting, between 10 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 25 and 5 a.m. Friday, Jan. 26 for overhead sign installation, according to the Virginia Department of Transportation.

The closure schedule is as follows: 

  • Single-lane closures: 10 p.m. to 5 a.m.
  • Full closures up to 20 minutes each: Midnight to 4 a.m.

Motorists should expect delays and are advised to use alternate routes.
