POLE RUN ROAD BRIDGE REPLACEMENT COMPLETE IN PRINCE GEORGE
The structure located over Wards Creek is now open to traffic

PRINCE GEORGE – The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) crews have recently completed the emergency bridge replacement on Pole Run Road (Route 616) over Wards Creek in Prince George County. The bridge is located between James River Drive (Route 10) and Lone Oak Mill Road (Route 658).

A full bridge replacement was necessary for drivers’ safety following torrential rain and a localized washout in June 2016. The new structure, now reopen to traffic, is expected to last up to 100 years.
