VDOT TO HOLD PUBLIC HEARING ON I-64 BRIDGE REPLACEMENTS OVER AIRPORT DRIVE IN HENRICO
Improvements include east and west bridge replacements and interchange improvements

COLONIAL HEIGHTS —The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) will hold a design public hearing on the proposed bridge replacements on I-64 over Airport Drive (Route 156) in Henrico County. The primary purpose of this project is to replace the two structurally deficient I-64 eastbound and westbound bridges over Airport Drive and to convert the existing full cloverleaf interchange to a partial cloverleaf interchange.

The hearing will be held on Tuesday, May 2, 2017 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Eastern Henrico Recreation Center, Strawberry Hill Ballroom, located at 1440 N. Laburnum Avenue, Henrico, VA 23223.

The public hearing will be conducted in an open forum, with one-on-one dialogue with VDOT representatives. The hearing will provide an opportunity for individuals, businesses or organizations to give VDOT input on the project.

Comments about the proposed project may be submitted at the hearing or until May 12, 2017 by mailing them to Anthony Haverly, Project Manager, Virginia Department of Transportation, 2430 Pine Forest Drive, Colonial Heights, VA 23834-9002. Comments can also be emailed to Anthony.Haverly@VDOT.Virginia.gov. Please reference “I-64 bridge replacements over Airport Drive public hearing comment” in the subject line.

Anyone requiring special assistance to attend and participate in this hearing may contact VDOT’s Civil Rights Division at (804) 524-6091 or TDD/TTY 711.
