VDOT TO HOLD PUBLIC HEARING ON I-195/LABURNUM AVENUE INTERSECTION IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT IN THE CITY OF RICHMOND
Public invited to learn more about proposal to improve safety and traffic flow at intersections
Proposed improvements to I-195/Laburnum Avenue intersections
COLONIAL HEIGHTS —The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) will hold a public hearing on a proposal to improve the safety and traffic flow of the intersections at Interstate 195 and Laburnum Avenue in the City of Richmond. Proposed improvements include constructing a single-lane roundabout at the I-195 south off-ramp intersection with Laburnum Avenue, a separate left turn lane at the I-195 north off-ramp intersection with Laburnum and a single travel lane between the two intersections.
The meeting will be held on Thursday, December 7 from 5 to 7 p.m. in the Linwood Holton Elementary School Cafeteria, located at 1600 W. Laburnum Ave., Richmond, VA 23227. This meeting will provide an opportunity for individuals, businesses or organizations to give VDOT input on the project.
Comments about the proposed project may be submitted at the meeting or until December 17 by mailing them to Anthony Haverly, P.E., P.M.P, project manager, Virginia Department of Transportation, 2430 Pine Forest Drive, Colonial Heights, VA 23834-9002.
