VDOT HOLDS MEETING FOR ROUTE 220 IMPROVEMENT IN HENRY COUNTY

The Virginia Department of Transportation will hold a citizen information meeting to discuss upcoming improvements to Route 220 near the Dyer Street (Route 1210) intersection in Henry County.  The project entails constructing a concrete median on Route 220 to restrict turn movements and improve safety

The meeting will be held on Thursday, August 14 from 6 to 7 p.m., at VDOT’s Martinsville Residency Office, located at 309 Weeping Willow Lane in Bassett.

A formal presentation will be made starting at 6 p.m., so attendees are encouraged to arrive promptly.  VDOT representatives will discuss the project’s schedule, traffic impact and access to businesses.
