TRAFFIC ALERT: ROUTE 657 (MERRIMAC ROAD) PIPE INSTALLATION TO IMPACT TRAFFIC IN MONTGOMERY COUNTY

Weather permitting, a section of Route 657 (Merrimac Road) will be closed to traffic from Friday, April 7 at 7 p.m. through Monday, April 10 at 5 a.m. for a pipe replacement. The road will be closed between Route 808 (Hightop Road) and Route 824 (Oilwell Road).

On Monday, April 10, traffic on Route 657 (Merrimac Road) will be reduced to one lane with a flagging operation during daytime hours for a paving operation.

Message boards will be in place to alert drivers to the closure. Drivers will need to seek alternate routes during the closure.

Completion of the work is weather dependent and could be extended. Drivers should check road conditions for updates.
