TRAFFIC ALERT: ROUTE 100 BRIDGE REPLACEMENT TO IMPACT TRAFFIC IN CARROLL COUNTY

SALEM – Beginning on June 12, the bridge over Rock Creek on Route 100 (Sylvatus Highway), just south of Route 749, will be replaced.

This work will be performed under temporary signal lights and traffic on Route 100 will be reduced to one lane of travel for both directions. The southbound lane will close first to remove half of the bridge and once that section is complete, traffic will be switched and the northbound lane will close. A width restriction of 10.0 feet wide will be in place throughout the length of the project.

Drivers are encouraged to use caution in the work zone and watch for signs.

The road is scheduled to re-open in October 2017.
