STAUNTON – (7:30 a.m.) The westbound lanes of Interstate 66 in Warren County are expected to remain closed until at least 9 a.m. due a tractor trailer crash involving a gasoline tanker at mile marker 11.


The Virginia Department of Transportation has set up a detour for westbound I-66 traffic. Drivers will be directed off the interstate at exit 13, and follow Route 79 south to Route 55 west. Traffic will go through the town of Front Royal and rejoin the interstate at exit 6. Drivers in Front Royal should expect delays as a result of the detour.
