A PORTION OF ROUTE 651 IN CLARKE COUNTY WILL CLOSE OCTOBER 19-30 FOR PIPE REPLACEMENT
STAUNTON – The Virginia Department of Transportation has scheduled a partial road closure in the Millwood area of Clarke County for a pipe replacement project.
Route 651 (Clay Hill Road) will be closed from 1.25 miles east of Route 255 to Route 621 (Tilthammer Mill Road) will close October 19 to 30. Motorists should follow these posted detours during the closure:
- Eastbound traffic will travel south on Route 255 (Bishop Meade Road) then east on Route 723 (Millwood Road) then north on Route 621 (Tilthammer Mill Road) back to Route 651 (Clay Hill Road).
- Westbound traffic will travel south on Route 621 (Tilthammer Mill Road) then west on Route 723 (Millwood Road) then north on Route 255 (Bishop Meade Road) back to Route 651 (Clay Hill Road).
All work is weather permitting.
